Thoughts on Doctor Slump:

The story progresses as Nam Ha-Neul and Yeo Jung Yoo decide to support each other during their slump period. The drama takes various turns as the criminal is yet to be found.

Episode 3 mainly focuses on Nam Ha-Neul’s mental health; her family stays by her side and supports her throughout this process by encouraging her to get better; the little details that Oh Hyun-Jong, the director, leaves make it fascinating to stay tuned to the Doctor drama. The family struggles to understand how they are supposed to react and support Nam Ha-Neul as it is their first time encountering depression as an issue, which makes it realistic to watch.

Episodes 3 and 4 also show how enemies turn into friends as they set out to watch the sunrise, and due to moments of uncertainty, they fail to witness the sunrise at Sokcho, but the glimpses of nature’s beauty are well portrayed. The storyline is further pivoted towards a suspense-crime theme, advancing the audience’s fascination to learn who the criminal could be and also creating a scoop for a tender love story as Nam Ha-Neul comes to Yeo Jung-Woo’s rescue. Humor and screenplay are at its best. Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye live their roles making it easier to connect for the viewers.
