King Of Kotha Review

After his recent sensational film ‘Sita Ramam’, Dulqer earned the position of Pan-Indian star and also created a remarkable mark with his role Ram. Now, This lover boy is back with a gangster action film with a new look.

Story:
Khanna Bhai (Kallarakkal Shabeer) is a drug dealer in Kotha town. C.I. Shahul Haasan (Prasanna) decides to shut the drug mafia down in the town, but he fails to do so. Shahul learns that Kotha has been under the control of Raju (Dulquer Salmaan) a few years back and that Khanna Bhai is Raju’s dear friend. But both Raju and Khanna Bhai are no longer together due to a few reasons. What made them get separated? What did C.I. Shahul Haasan do then? This is how the story goes.

Analysis:
The story undoubtedly revolves around Dulquer Salman and the actor lived in the character Raju from start to end to deliver the best performance ever. His role is written well as the one who wants to wash off the drug mafia world as it is good for nothing. Dulquer nailed it every inch in action scenes as well. The gangster role was raw and Shabeer carried it with ease throughout the film.

Other than these actors, No other actors could make their roles impactful. Many scenes that had prolonged could have been trimmed to be interesting. The narration of the film was as slow as a snail requiring the most patient persons to watch the film completely.

The story has no special twists and is highly predictible. This film made everyone feel that the film should have made with more efforts and care as there are so many disturbing elements in the editing and making of the film.

This film is more like the recent blockbuster delivered by Nani ‘Dasara’ as there is no extremely special story but the camera work made it a big hit. As this film seems like Dasara, there is no excitement in the audience about the film. The rating is also not upto the mark for the film. As Dulquer had high chances of attracting audience towards the theatres, he should have been more careful while selecting the script.

Plus Points:
Dulquer Performance
Shabeer and Chemban Vinod’s performance

Minus Points:
Prolonged scenes
Other characters performance
Climax
Movie editing
