Story: 

Written by Baek Sun-woo, who previously delivered hit Romantic-Comedies like What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim and My Roommate Is A Gumiho, and directed by Oh Hyun-Jong known for his directorial Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, Doctor Slump is an enemy to lovers trope rom-com.

Yeo Jung Woo and Nam Ha Neul have aspired to join the medical fraternity since childhood. While Busan-based Nam Ha Neul shifts to Seoul to pursue her further education, she encounters Yeo Jung Woo, the top of the class, both being the best from the beginning, and they begin competing against each other to obtain better grades. After a great deal, they set out to achieve their dream of becoming a medical professional. After years, Yeo Jung Woo became a top-notch plastic surgeon, and Nam Ha Neul is witnessed as an aspiring resident anesthesiologist, still, in the wake of tragic events, both Ha-Neul and Jung Woo.

Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye starrer Doctor Slump release it’s Episodes 7 and 8 on Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 pm on Netflix for the international audience. A new challenge awaits the Park couple as their love story ends before it begins.

After many twists and turns Yeo Jung Woo, triumphs at the court as he obtains the evidence, Yeo Jung Woo’s success excites everyone but he seems nowhere happy as his success gets overshadowed by excitement and his pain goes unacknowledged. Amidst the chaos Nam Ha Neul and Yeo Jung Woo find solace in each other’s presence, moreover, Jung Woo ends up confessing to Ha-Neul as he gets drunk, putting Nam Ha-Neul in a dilemma, making her wonder if they both are seeing each other for real or not.

On the technical aspects, Episode 7 starts off with a loud background score, music has a major role in making or breaking the scene, while portraying Yeo Jung-Woo’s encounter with the suspect, the loud music breaks the scene as the scene extends to Nam Ha-Neul discovering the spy-pen in Jung-Woo’s room. The bgm doesn’t appeal to the scene, though the attempt was the emphazize the discovery. As the drama’s main theme revolves around mental health, the storyline comes back to its main focus sketching Nam Ha-Neul’s mental health progress, portraying that her suppressed feelings tend to act up making it difficult for her to cope as she continues to struggle yet again. She chooses to be alone as she struggles, this scene gives a brief idea of her character and personality, justifying her choices and actions.
