The theatrical run of Ante Sundaraniki, Major, and Vikram are all nearing the finish line. As there are no big releases today, a lot of small movies are using the gap and hit the silver screens testing their luck. It’s noteworthy that a whopping nine small movies are releasing today.
Kiran Abbavaram’s Sammathame is the biggest of these small flicks. Directed by Gopinath Reddy, the romantic entertainer has Chandini Chowdary as the female lead. As Kiran is creating himself an image for selecting good scripts, this movie has good buzz too. Kankanala Praveena bankrolled the project. Akash Puri’s Chor Bazaar is next on the list. Even though the son of a star director, Akash is trying to establish himself as an actor without using his father’s name. But there is a remark on Akash and Chor Bazaar team that they are so overconfident about the film that they didn’t do any promotions which might prove a costly mistake.
Following these two movies are Ram Gopal Varma’s Konda, Veteran producer MS Raju’s 7 Days-6 Nights, Gangster Gangaraju, Karan Arjun, Pellikuthuru Party, Sada Nannu Nadipe, and Software Blues have all hit the silver screens today. Konda and 7Days-6 Nights films too might see some good run as they are from two ex-big wigs of Tollywood. Let’s see which movie will hit the jackpot.
