Here is what Sunny Deol has to say about Bollywood

Sunny Deol

The actor Sunny Deol weighed in on the health of the Hindi cinema industry, acknowledging that it has undergone a significant shift in the 20 years since Gadar became a smash. In Gadar 2, which is slated to premiere in theaters on Friday with OMG-2, which stars Akshay Kumar, Sunny is repeating his role as Tara Singh.

Sunny discussed the corporatization of the Hindi film industry, the meaninglessness of prizes, and how performers no longer have original ideas but instead rely on an entourage and a team of consultants in an interview with ABP Live. He stated that he opposes these changes and acknowledged that some people would find him to be abrasive.

Sunny responded in Hindi when asked about the necessity of marketing oneself these days in addition to one’s films: “That is an issue only if you grow envious at others’ success. Each person has a unique personality. It’s crucial to be content. I’m an actor who likes performing and wants to keep doing it. I’m not the type of person to chase after endorsement agreements.

“As we entered the 21st century, the industry became corporatized,” he concluded. It has evolved into a game of perception, and those who can play it well have won. It has no basis in reality. Also serving this culture as servants are our actors. But they are content, and I don’t mean to criticize anyone, but this is how things are. But I find it upsetting to see young people entering the field and adopting this way of life. Acting is an art; it is not bodybuilding, dancing, or engaging in any other foolish behavior.

Sunny claimed that actors have evolved into models in recent years. “They have 10 people making decisions for them, and they are surrounded by an entourage. People are becoming less unique, he claimed, adding that those who participate in this “perception game” have also taken away the “respectability” associated with achievements.
