OMG 2 with Akshay Kumar has through a lot of scrutiny before its release, and now that it has received an A rating from the Central Board of Film Certification, actor Pankaj Tripathi has stated that the movie is “not a film on s*x education.” In the movie, Pankaj plays the lead part and is assisted by Akshay’s portrayal of the “messenger of God.”

Pankaj claimed that during a Zoom chat with the movie’s director Amit Rai and creative producer Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Akshay Kumar explained the plot to him. Pankaj noted that they were “responsible, educated” individuals who comprehend films and were quite cautious during the filmmaking process. He recalls asking the director to send him the actual text of an Upanishad for one of his lines so he could confirm it. In his words, “I should know it is from that book or you have come up with it yourself if you are giving the reference of some text.”

The CBFC’s reviewing committee received the movie and ultimately ordered 27 changes. Among many other adjustments, the c*ndom advertisement billboard and images of what was referred to as “sculptures of unnatural s*x” have been removed. According to some accounts, the movie is about s*x education, although Pankaj insisted that the movie isn’t solely about that.
