A new project set in the backdrop of Kolar Gold Fields, the location made famous by the hit film “KGF,” is currently in the works. This time, it’s a Tamil film that will also be shot in Hindi and released in multiple Indian languages. The film, titled “Thangalaan,” will be directed by Pa Ranjith. Chiyaan Vikram is the lead actor, and it is going to be another experiment, say the reports.
Set in the 19th century, the film will be made in 3D and feature music by GV Prakash Kumar. The poster for the film shows Vikram sitting on a donkey and holding a knife covered in ash, hinting at a chilling and experimental role for the actor. Reportedly, Vikram is spending hours on makeup.
The film will be produced by Studio Green and will be released on Netflix after its theatrical release. The film will focus on the lives of people working in mines during the 19th century and is Vikram’s 61st project.
It’s been a while since Vikram scored a hit, and let us hope that the actor will make a comeback to success with this film.
