Netflix has released the first trailer for Todd Hayne’s dark melodrama ‘May December’. The drama is based on the story of Mary Kay Letourneau, who shook the nation.
Julianne Morrone and Charles Melton were forced to confront their past. The film stars Natalie Portman, Julianne Moore and Charles Melton in the lead roles. The film is reminiscent of the real-life scandal that shocked the nation between former teacher Mary Kay Letourneau and her 13-year-old student, Vili Fualaau. The film seems promising with direction, execution and actor’s performances. The Sun is Also a Star actor Charles Michael Meltos did a fantastic job with his terrific performance.
The film premiered at the 76th Cannes Film Festival on May 20, 2023. The drama film is produced by Gloria Sanchez Productions, Killer Films, Mountain, Taylor & Dodge and Project Infinity and distributed by Netflix.
The film explores the human tendency to avoid self-reflection and will premiere in select US theatres on November 17, 2023, and will premiere on Ott giant Netflix on December 1.
