The Indian film industry has witnessed a massive change in the popularity of South Indian movies. Many Bollywood stars are willing to work with filmmakers and producers from the South. Even the actors and actresses talk about how the South attracts the audience with their content and is willing to work with star directors.
SS Rajamouli’s RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles, saw many star actors’ actor guest appearances in the film. Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn, who is seeing success with his recent Shaitaan at the box office, has charged a whopping amount for his role.

According to reports, Ajay Devgn is the one Bollywood star who charged an eye-popping Rs. 35 crore for his 8-minute appearance in another global hit from south “RRR.” That’s approximately Rs. 4.35 crore per minute of screen time.
Alia Bhatt, who was seen opposite Ram Charan as his love interest, has charged around Rs 9 crore for her role in RRR, while Urvashi Rautela charged Rs 3 crore for her performance in Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya’s item number.
Surprisingly, Ajay Devgn also charged around Rs 11 crore for his appearance in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Undoubtedly, he can be considered the most sought-after actor in the industry after Akshay Kumar, as Akki charged around Rs 27 crore for his role in Dhanush’s Atrangi Re.

The trend, which was also started by SS Rajamouli in 2015 with Bahubali, saw many cross-over projects, allowing the actors to expand their fanbase and experiment with their versatility with different projects.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt, who drew attention with his role in Yash’s KGF, was also seen in Kollywood and Tollywood. The actor will be soon seen in Ram Pothineni’s Double Ismart and has also charged a whopping amount.
Sanjay Dutt’s addition to the cast of Double iSmart has already sparked excitement among fans. According to reports, the Agneepath actor has dedicated 60 days (about two months) to the shoot and is charging a salary of 15 crores for his role in Double iSmart.
Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra are some of the Bollywood actors who have starred in films from South India.
