Bhagavanth Kesari Review

Nelakonda Bhagwant Kesari is deemed the child of the forest. That dialogue is apt for Balayya’s character in the Bhagwant Kesari. As director Anil Ravipudi said, there is much to be seen in the movie that is justified, as the trailer is nothing compared to the film. Balayya’s never-seen avatar increased the expectations for the film. Along with Bro I Don’t Care, some dialogues are up to Balayya’s mark.

Let’s decode the movie.

Story:
Nelakonda Bhagwant Kesari from Adilabad is an inmate in Warangal Jail. An incident brings Bhagwant Kesari into contact with police officer Sarath Kumar and his daughter Vijaya Lakshmi / Vijji (Srileela). After Sarath Kumar’s unexpected death, Bhagwant promises to care for Kesari and make her an army officer. So, after being released from jail, Bhagwant Kesari adopts Vizzi.

Rahul Sanghvi (Arjun Rampal) is a selfish man who wants to be the top businessman in the country and kills the Deputy Chief Minister to fulfil his dream. He is on the verge of killing Vizzy as the information accidentally gets into her laptop. How will Bhagwant Kesari save Vijji from Rahul Sanghvi? What is Rahul Sanghvi’s old acquaintance with Bhagwant Kesari? What is Bhagwant Kesari’s flashback? Has Vizzy become an army officer while suffering from many phobias? You have to watch the movie to know that.

Analysis:

Indeed, only a few stories can please the audience and the director needs to draw from those limited stories. The director has to write the screenplay of the known story with his talent and please the audience. Now, Anil Ravipudi has done the same. But here in Bhagwant Kesari, there are two stories.

Hero was imprisoned unfairly by the influence of the villain. Later, the villain returns to the Hero’s life for unexpected reasons. This time, the Hero will get old grudges and new grudges. We have seen this story in many movies.

In the second story, the Hero’s adopted daughter accidentally becomes the villain’s target. The story is familiar, as seen in many films, but Anil Ravipudi perfectly scripted these two stories and made Bhagwant Kesari his style.

Fans’ expectations of action sequences and elevation scenes for Balayya’s movie are a high, while Anil Ravipudi’s movies are expected to have some emotional scenes and comedy. Bhagwant Kesari is a movie that is a perfect combination of Balayya’s massy characterization and Anil Ravipudi’s trademark comedy. Anil concentrated mainly on Balayya’s characterization and action sequences. Anil perfectly balanced the script with ballaya trade mark dialogues, action sequences and comedy marks.

In the first half, he took about 30 to 40 minutes to introduce the characters. The actual movie will start from the pre-interval. The film is a treat to the Balayya fan as it’s a wholesome entertainer with every aspect, like action, dialogue and emotional scenes. Indeed, Balayya fans will not sit in their seats during the pre-interval scenes.

The film started with a slow screenplay, but eventually, it was a blast with fast action sequences. The bus action sequence in the second half is the film’s highlight. The way Anil directed the fight scenes with his comedy mark is quite refreshing and commendable. The whole theatre was bang when the song “Kalladol Eyemtu Dudu” came in between the fight scenes. Only two directors from Tollywood knew the pulse of the audience. If one is Jakkana and the other is Anil Ravipudi. There comes an elevation scene when the movie gets a bit slow. Balayya’s speech about the girls empowerment will give you goosebumps.

Balayya’s screen presence is commendable. His body transformation into Bagavant Kesari is brilliant. Sreelee did a fantastic job as Vizzi. It is the best performance in Sreeleela’s career. Sreeleela can do female-oriented action scenes. Kajal Aggarwal looked gorgeous and did a tremendous job within the limited screen time.

Bhagavanth Kesari is the best production design with impressive performances, great direction, mindblowing background score, magnificent cinematography and nail-biting action sequences.

Thaman has already proven himself with background music in all movies. Thaman added another hit film to his list. The film is the
