Game Changer OTT Rights

On March 20, Amazon Prime Video announced it would acquire the OTT rights for Game Changer across all South Indian languages. The deal, reportedly worth Rs 105 crores, excludes the Hindi OTT rights. This massive agreement has significantly contributed to the film’s budget recovery. Ram Charan’s celebrity factor played a huge role in opting for this amount.

By securing the OTT rights, the makers of Game Changer have already recovered an impressive 42% of the film’s total budget. This deal comes as a relief to producers, given the film’s grand scale and production expenses.

As per multiple reports, the movie is made on a massive budget of Rs 250 crores. On the other hand, Zee5 bought the film’s Hindi version rights, and if Amazon Prime grabbed it, then the final total would reach an arduous amount of Rs 150 crores. At the same time, there have been reports that the cost has increased due to shoot delays.

Game Changer is currently busy with post-production works and Ram Charan is shooting schedules simultaneously. Recently, a shoot happened near RK beach in Visakhapatnam, and the actor was also spotted with a clean shaved beard. This confirms his role as IAS Officer in the film. Kiara Advani also joined the shooting schedule in Visakhapatnam.

With this, we can say that Game Changer is one of the most expensive projects being made in Indian cinema. Directed by Shankar, the film features Kiara Advani, S.J Suryah, Jayaram, Sunil, Srikanth, Samuthirakani, Nassar and others in crucial roles.
