In recent updates, reports circulating online shed light on the shooting schedule of “Vettaiyan” and Rajinikanth’s character in the upcoming action-thriller. The final leg of shooting for “Vettaiyan” commenced in Mumbai on May 2, with the schedule anticipated to span a week. Rumors suggest that Rajinikanth portrays the role of a Muslim police officer in this gripping thriller, purportedly based on real events.

Following the culmination of the Mumbai schedule for “Vettaiyan,” Rajinikanth is slated to commence shooting for his next adrenaline-pumping venture, “Coolie,” with director Lokesh Kanagaraj in June. However, official confirmation from the film’s makers or their representatives regarding the shooting schedule is yet to be disclosed.

T J. Gnanavel, known for his work on “Jai Bhim,” takes the directorial reins of this action-packed thriller. The revelation of the potential title occurred in December 2023, coinciding with Rajinikanth’s 73rd birthday. Alongside Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, the film boasts a stellar ensemble cast featuring Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rao Ramesh, Rakshan, G.M. Sundar, among others, in pivotal roles.

Reports hint at Fahadh Faasil’s portrayal of the antagonist, adding layers of intrigue to the narrative, while Rana Daggubati is rumored to essay the role of an adept hacker with questionable affiliations. “Vettaiyan” is bankrolled by Subaskaran Allirajah under the esteemed banner of Lyca Productions, with a slated theatrical release in October 2024.

Transitioning from “Vettaiyan,” Rajinikanth is gearing up for another monumental collaboration with acclaimed director Lokesh Kanagaraj, titled “Coolie.” The film promises to showcase Rajinikanth in an unprecedented avatar, as evidenced by the recent release of its first look teaser, which garnered adoration from netizens and Rajinikanth’s dedicated fan base. Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures is helming the production of “Coolie.”

In addition to “Vettaiyan” and “Coolie,” Rajinikanth is poised to grace the screens in Nelson Dilipkumar’s upcoming action thriller, “Hukum.” The film is purportedly a continuation of the mass entertainer “Jailer,” released in 2023.
