U- Turn is one of those films that hit the box office 6 times in various languages and is now set to release for the seventh time. U- Turn a 2016 Kannada film starring Shraddha Srinath was a 2.5 crore budget film that made 10 crores at the box office, soon Srinivasa Chitturi and Rambabu Bandaru bagged the films rights to make a remake of this unconventional film starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The film hit the theatres in 2016, making 23.5 crores at the box office. The film was reported to have been made with a limited budget of 15.5 crores.
U-Turn revolves around an aspiring journalist, who is working on a news story, soon she uncovers a terrific truth that connects the present with the past. Samantha was the leading day of both the Telugu and Tamil remakes. The Sri Lankan remake of the film starred Hemal Ranasinghe and Sandhya Raju was the lead of the Malayalam remake.
The Hindi remake of the film will stream on Zee5 on 28th April 2023, the film features Alaya F, Rajesh Sharma, Aashim Gulati, Priyanshu Painyuli, Shriidhar Dubey, Manu Rishi Chadha, Tariq Mir, Ramandeep Yadav, Grusha Kapoor, and Tasveer Kamil.
