Tara Singh, the iconic role played by Sunny Deol in the Gadar franchise, has a special place in everyone’s heart. In the latest news, it is reported that work for Gadar 3, the third installment in the Gadar franchise, has started.
Anil Sharma chose Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel in 2001 to create history with the iconic love story Gardar: Ek Prem Katha. The film broke the long-standing record of the Bollywood industry’s hum aapke hai kon. After 22 years, Anil Sharma created history all over again with Gadar 2, the sequel and second installment of Gardar. It has the same cast as Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, quickly connecting the audience to the movie. Sunny Deol as Tara Singh, Ameesha Patel as Sakina, and Utkarsh Sharma as Jeete have settled in people’s hearts with their impactful performances in both movies.
Gadar 2 ended with a hint of Gadar 3, which the audience thought was just a rumour, but now makers have made it clear that there will be a threequel, and ever since the Gadar 2 release, the team of the franchise has started working on the development of the story for Gadar 3. like the two iconic films, this one will be too a backdrop of indo-pak conflict.
“A lot of writing will happen to develop the idea, but the team has got the direction of where the story of Tara Singh, Sakina, and Jeete heads from here on. However, the stakes this time will be higher than ever before,” revealed a source close to the development.
When asked if Tara Singh is part of Gadar 3, the director, Anil Sharma confirmed by saying, “Yes, Tara Singh will be back as we have locked the basic idea of Gadar 3. I am presently shooting with Utkarsh and Nana Patekar for my next directorial Journey and will start working on the Gadar 3 script very soon.”
