Utkarsh Sharma in Mathura
After Gadar 2’s success, Utkarsh Sharma, the actor who played Tara Singh’s son’s role aka Charanjeet ‘Jeete’ Singh in the movie was spotted in Dwarkadhish Temple, Mathura seeking blessings in a temple, showing his gratefulness for this opportunity.
On the side, we see his father Anil Sharma, who’s also the director of both the instalments of the Gadar franchise. Utkarsh Sharma hasn’t been a part of a lot of movies but after his role in Gadar 2, people are starting to know him. In an interview, he revealed that originally, Utkarsh was not the selected cast for child Jeete’s role. But because Anil Sharma was unable to find a child actor due to scheduling conflicts and demanding locations, Utkarsh’s mom suggested Anil Sharma to cast Utkarsh for the role, and it worked.
The child who played Jeete in Gadar is also little Utkarsh Sharma who grew up and worked in Gadar 2 at the age of 29. Anil Sharma has directed a decent number of films and gained good success.
After the release of the sequel on August 11, 2023, the theatres is burning with house full shows, bringing the movie close to 400 crores. Other than acting, Utkarsh Sharma is also a writer, director and producer for Purpose and Still Life.
Born and brought up in Mumbai, Utkarsh finished his degree in theatre and films in the US. He’s a vegetarian who enjoys playing dancing, reading and watching football matches as a hobby. Although dancing is a hobby for him, he’s a trained dancer.
