Sunny Deol makes interesting comments on nepotism

Sunny Deol

Sunny Deol is currently talking about his new movie, ‘Gadar 2’. He recently appeared on AajTak’s show “Seedhi Baat” with host Sudhir Chaudhary. During the talk, Sunny Deol shared his thoughts on nepotism in Bollywood. He mentioned that if he wasn’t an actor, he would have taken inspiration from his father Dharmendra, and followed his path. He also mentioned that it’s perfectly fine for a father to support their child in their endeavors.

During his appearance on AajTak’s Seedhi Baat, the host asked Sunny Deol what he would be doing if his father Dharmendra wasn’t an actor. Sunny replied, “I don’t know. I would probably be doing whatever my father was doing wherever he was.”

When questioned about the ongoing nepotism debate, Sunny expressed, “I believe those who spread this debate are frustrated. They fail to understand that it’s natural for a father to support his child. Which family wouldn’t do that? What’s wrong if a father wants to help his son or daughter? But ultimately, success comes to those who achieve it through their own efforts.”

“My father couldn’t influence me to become an actor, and I can’t impose that on my sons either. My dad is a huge icon, yet I’ve established my own identity and presence. While I’m not exactly like my father, we share many similarities,” Sunny Deol remarked.

The newly revealed teaser of ‘Gadar 2’ presents Sunny Deol’s character, Tara Singh, embarking on a bold mission across the border to rescue his son (played by Utkarsh Sharma), who has been taken captive in Pakistan. The story is set in Lahore in 1971 and vows to continue the gripping action scenes of its predecessor, all while showcasing Tara Singh’s unyielding anger towards those inciting hostility between India and Pakistan. The film also features Ameesha Patel.

Directed by Anil Sharma, ‘Gadar 2’ is set to premiere on August 11. Interestingly, it will clash with the release of Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’.
