Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 is a sequel to Gadar: Ek Prem Katha(2001). In Gadar 2, Tara Singh goes across the border to rescue his son, who was imprisoned in Pakistan jail during the Indo-Pakistan War in 1971.
Gadar 2, helmed by Anil Sharma, and written by Shaktimaan Talwar, is unstoppable at the domestic box office despite the clash with OMG 2 and Jailer. The patriotic flavor and tremendous recall value will make it a huge money-spinner. Gadar 2 lives up to massive expectations, and it has been unstoppable ever since it was released.
On its opening day, the film collected a total of India net of Rs 40.10 crore. It collected over Rs 132 crore on its weekend, making it the sixth top weekend for Hindi films. As of today, the film has grossed Rs 377. 20 crore worldwide and is expected to collect more than 23 crores to reach Rs 400 crores. It is rumored that due to the blockbuster success of Gadar 2 makers are considering a sequel to Sunny Deol’s Border. Makers are yet to make an announcement regarding the sequel.
