Sonam Kapoor is an Indian Bollywood actress, the Masakali in Delhi 6. She’s the daughter of the one and only Khalnayak, Anil Kapoor.

Remember the dreamy, fariytale-y scenes from Saawariya with Ranbir Kapoor’s innocent boy look? That gorgeous woman was no one but Sonam, who was later seen in a very elegant, sophisticated look in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag in the song ‘O Rangrez’. A passionate follower of music will know the magic that song holds every time it plays.

Recently, she got a lifetime opportunity to represent India at King Charles III’s coronation in London. It was broadcasted on ITV from 8.30 a.m. GMT (1.30 a.m. PT) to 3 p.m. GMT (7 a.m. PT) on May 6th, 2023.

Quick introduction, Charles III is the king of the UK and 14 other Commonwealth nations. To be invited to such a gigantic event is a checkmate kind of victory. Not letting go of this fact, Sunita Kapoor, Sonam’s mom, took the opportunity to post a video of the live airing of the coronation with Sonam in it. Her caption says, “So proud! Such an honour.”

Focusing on her outfit, she wore a classic white umbrella gown, completely absorbing the Victorian Era vibes. Her white off-shoulder dress has flowers on it, very close to traditional carvings found in royal palaces. It looks like someone cloned a beautifully sculpted marble palace into a dress. She says, “Historic moments call for fashion moments. I’m honored to mark the unforgettable occasion of the #coronationconcert by wearing the collaborative vision of two of the most incredible designers from the two countries I’m lucky to call home @anamikakhanna.in @emiliawickstead
