It’s time to serve! Got7’s Jinyoung enlists in the military

The time has come for Park Jinyoung from Got7 to complete his mandatory military service. The Kpop star’s agency, BH Entertainment released a statement announcing his enlistment in the basic military training.

The actor and singer will fulfill his duty to the country beginning from May 8th. BH Entertainment announced the enlistment on May 4th in a statement released on their Instagram handle. The post also states, “There will be no separate official event and we ask for your understanding as he will be arriving in private for the safety and in consideration of other families and their loved ones.” The agency also urged fans to refrain from the visiting the training center as it will be a inconvenience to others.

The beloved idol shared a photo of himself sporting his new buzzcut mandatory for the training. Fans from all over the world are sending their love to Jinyoung as he begins his enlistment. The hashtag, #WeWillWaitForYouJinyoung has been trending as twitteratis have been wishing the singer a safe enlistment.

Jinyoung, formerly known as Junior started his singing career as a member of GOT7 in 2014 and was also a member of the boy band duo JJ project along with fellow Got7 member, JB. He made his acting debut in the 2012 series Dream high 2 and has since then, appeared in many dramas and movies. He was last seen in the film, A Christmas Carol for which he was awarded “Best New Actor” at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards. In 2021, he made his solo debut with the self composed song, Dive.
