Sandeep Reddy Vanga calls people who disliked Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal as personal agenda

Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently reacted to the criticism of the climax of his films Kabir Singh and Animal. While ‘Kabir Singh’, a remake of Vanga’s Arjun Reddy, was led by Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, ‘Animal’, which recently ruled the box office, was headlined by Ranbir Kapoor. Vanga reasoned that a section of the audience didn’t like the climax of his films because of their “personal agenda.”

He expressed his observation that there is a prevalent expectation for the hero to deliver a “lecture” after the film. Sandeep noted that some viewers seek closure by wanting the protagonist to acknowledge their mistakes on screen explicitly, and only then do they feel satisfied.

He discussed the repercussions faced by Ranbir Kapoor’s character in Animal, highlighting the multitude of challenges he encounters, including the imminent death of his father, his wife leaving him, and his declining health. Sandeep questioned the audience, asking, “What more do you want? Should I kill the hero in the climax?”.
