The Guardian review praised Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt’s chemistry and wrote, Ryan and Emily dazzle in delightful action comedy.

The Collide Review called the film best popcorn filmmaking and wrote,” The artist formerly known as Ken returns as a washed-up stuntman still in love with Emily Blunt, his ex-girlfriend who is directing his next action film.

The Vulture review praised Ryan’s comedy abilities and wrote, “Gosling, whose comedic talents were criminally undervalued until last year’s runaway hit Barbie, gets to flex them again here, bringing his deadpan, affably dim charm to the role of Colt Seavers, a hot-shot stunt double for megawatt movie star.”

The Variety review agreed, claiming Ryan is extremely well-cast. “The Fall Guy is funny, it’s sexy, and it features the boy-toy version of Barbie scene-stealer Ryan Gosling — which is to say, this time around, he embodies the ultimate action figure,” the blurb said.
