Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum opus, Ramayana, is currently the talk of the town due to its stellar casting. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol, and Yash will be seen as Lord Hanuman and Demon King Ravana.
Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is creating a lot of buzz in Bollywood. Despite not being officially announced yet, the excitement among the audience is immense. Meanwhile, reports were abuzz that Vijay Sethupathi would be seen as Vibhishan, Lara Dutta would play Queen Kaikeyi’s role, and Rakul Preet Singh would be seen as Surpanakha.
According to sources close to the film development, Vijay will no longer be a part of Ramayana, and Harman Baweja will play his role. Notably, Harman Baweja has returned with Hansal Mehta’s ‘Scoop’ along with Karishma Tanna, in which he played the role of JCP Harshavardhan Shroff.
Reportedly, Vijay Sethupathi has a massive lineup with almost nine signed films in his bag, and the actor cannot venture into more projects due to arousal of date clashes.
The filmmakers plan to announce the film grandly on April 17, i.e., on Ram Navami’s auspicious occasion. The epic saga is slated to release in cinemas as a trilogy.
The first part introduces the viewers to Lord Ram and Devi Sita. The first part of the planned trilogy will focus on Lord Ram’s life in Ayodhya, his marriage with Devi Sita, and their 14-year-long exile. The first part will conclude with Sita’s abduction.
The film’s first part is expected to be released in Diwali in 2025, and the rest of the two will follow. The last instalment will depict the epic war between Vaanar Sena and Ravana’s army and will conclude with Ravana’s defeat and Lord Ram’s triumphant return to Ayodhya with Sita.
The makers aim to blend cinematic grandeur, entertainment, and sensitivity, ensuring an engaging experience. Though the star-studded cast lineup has elevated the excitement among all, an official announcement is awaited.
