In a recent interview, the 58-year-old supermodel shared that she was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. She said, “It was detected in my annual mammogram,”. “The margins were not good, and due to other health factors, I opted for a bilateral mastectomy without hesitation because I wanted to put everything behind me and not have to deal with this. Thinking I was good and set for life. Breast cancer was not going to kill me.”
In September 2021, Linda underwent cryolipolysis, a cosmetic fat removal procedure, under the brand name Cool Sculpting to reduce fat under her skin. However, this had done the opposite, with the paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH) complication. Linda said that she had initiated legal action against CoolSculpting’s owner, Zeltiq Aesthetics, a subsidiary of Allergan. She sought $50 million in damages for emotional distress and lost income. However, in July 2022, Evangelista felt a lump on her breast, and she ultimately learned that her breast cancer returned. She revealed that she had battled breast cancer twice in the past five years.
