Lakshmi Prasanna stepped into acting a year back from Manchu Family. It is remarkable that she won compliments for her negative role in ‘Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu’ and then for her hosting a talk show on the small screen. Before doing films in Tollywood, she took acting training in America and acted in Hollywood as well. She also acted in a movie, a TV series, and a short film. Before Lakshmi’s Tollywood debut, some of those related scenes went viral on YouTube.
However, Manchu Lakshmi, who received the Nandi Award with her first film in Telugu, ‘Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu’, did not perform or bag any offers to the expected level after that. All her films including ‘Gundello Godari’ have disappointed me. Now her career is very slow and even though she is doing some films with her father, there is not much craze for it. But if she was in Hollywood, the story would have been different, says Lakshmi.
In an interview, she expressed her grief about stopping in the middle of her Hollywood career. Manchu Lakshmi replied to a question asked in an interview whether your career would have been different if you were in Hollywood. ” I acted in a Hollywood film. Unfortunately, I left there and came here. If I had been there for ten years, I would have been somewhere. I decided to come to India when I wanted a baby. The comfort and caring for children is unmatched anywhere else than in India. Now my baby has wings. That’s why I am looking for opportunities again. If I get a chance to go abroad again, I will board the flight without thinking for a moment”, the actress added.
