Dulquer about KOK and Pushpa
Dulquer Salmaan’s movie ‘King Of Kotha,’ which is set in a made-up town, revolves around epic conflicts, individual challenges, and the determined quest for authority. The film is scheduled to premiere on August 25th.
While promoting the movie in Chennai, Dulquer Salmaan was questioned about the similarity in vibes between his film and Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise.’ In response, Dulquer, with his gentle manner, expressed that he appreciates the comparison but made it clear that they aren’t attempting to copy
There isn’t a direct influence. I truly admire Bunny both as an actor and performer. However, we’ve had this film in the works since 2019. Even about three years ago, they had shared a character outline. So, we had our own plan in place. I’ve heard this comparison, and it’s somewhat flattering, but we’re not aiming to mimic or replicate it. At the press conference in Chennai, Dulquer Salmaan mentioned, ‘I hope our movie achieves what Pushpa did.'”
In Pushpa, Allu Arjun portrayed a rugged look with a thick beard. The movie is directed by Sukumar. Interestingly, Allu Arjun will sport a similar appearance in a section of the successful franchise.
Speaking about ‘King Of Kotha,’ Dulquer Salmaan recently described it as an extraordinary journey. He highlighted that the film’s unique characters, intricate storyline, and grand production set it apart.
Directed by Abhilash Joshiy, ‘King Of Kotha’ also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Nyla Usha, and Gokul Suresh in significant roles. With the trailer setting the stage for an exciting cinematic experience, the movie is scheduled for an Onam release on August 24th, 2023.
