Shah Rukh Khan has given two big blockbusters this year, Pathaan and Jawan, and is gearing up for the third one, titled Dunki, which is all set to be theatrically released worldwide on December 21, 2023.
On November 22, Shah Rukh Khan answered an interesting question about his upcoming film Dunki in his #AskSRK session on social media. A fan asked SRK to explain the reason behind choosing the title Dunki for the film.
To which SRK responded, “Dunki is a way of describing an illegal journey across borders,” which could relate to one of the posters released for the movie earlier, where the lead characters were seen with a desert-like background.
He also added, “It’s pronounced like Funky…Hunky….or yeah Monkey!!!” making sure the fans take the name correctly while prouncing.
Rajkumar Hirani directs Dunki, casting Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Tapsee Pannu, and two other characters in the lead roles. The teaser and poster of the film have already grabbed the audience’s attention, and the first track from the film, Lutt Putt Gaya, voiced by Arijit Singh, was released on November 22, i.e., today, and is already trending on social media.
