A new motion poster of the upcoming Hollywood film Dune: Part Two featuring all of the main characters and a new addition to the ensemble cast was recently released. In addition to Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and Rebecca Ferguson reprising their roles in the sequel, the poster depicts a new character played by Souheila Yacoub.
While specifics about Souheila Yacoub’s character are unknown, fans speculate that she may be playing Shishakli. Shishakli is a Fremen who lives on the planet Arrakis, according to Frank Herbert’s novel.
A pivotal moment in the book is the Sandrider trial, in which Paul Atreides must complete a special test that entails riding a giant sandworm—an inherently dangerous task—and Shishakli observes that Paul lacks the necessary tools and generously provides him with her special hooks to ensure his safe navigation of the sandworm.
Timothée Chalamet stars as Paul Atreides, the planet Arrakis’ long-awaited messiah, and Zendaya plays Chani, a Fremen tribe member and Paul’s love interest. Together, they plan to lead a rebellion to liberate the planet. The space opera drama is all set to hit the theaters on March 1st, 2024.
