Prasanth Varma kicked off his cinematic universe with the superhero film Hanuman, starring Teja Sajja, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Amritha Aiyer, and Vinay Rai in the lead roles. The film was released in Telugu, Hindi, and other South Indian languages to positive reviews from critics and audiences and has grossed ₹231.27 crore worldwide in its thirteen-day run.
The film is set in the fictional village of Anjanadri and is the first installment of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). The film’s total domestic net collection to a commendable ₹150.43 crore. The movie collected around ₹3.28 crore on Day 14, indicating a decline of 6.29%, according to early estimates. It is estimated that the film’s occupancy will increase due to Republic Day and the ongoing long weekend and is expected to collect more than 3 crores today.
Trade analyst Manobala shared on X that the film will soon collect ₹250 crore. He wrote, “Hanuman worldwide box office. Hanuman CROSSES ₹230 crore gross mark. The next milestone would be ₹250 crore.”
