The leading actress in Bollywood that everyone has loved in blockbuster movies like Darlings, Gangubai Kathiawadi, and 2 States, also to be starred in Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani anticipatedly in July 2023, has once again managed to become the ‘tea’ of the day by showcasing her gorgeous pearl-embedded dress in MET GALA 2023. Her fans in the comment sections across all her social media handles seem to be intoxicated by her chique yet sophisticated floor-length dress which pools like an umbrella at her waist.
Not just this, Alia herself has expressed her admiration towards the attire in her Instagram caption which goes like, “I have always been fascinated by the iconic Chanel brides. Season after season, the genius of Karl Lagerfeld shone through in the most innovative and awe-inspiring couture. My look tonight was inspired from this and in particular by supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel bridal look.”
Furthermore, she gives us up-close deets about the dress, stating it’s made with 100,000 pearls by Prabal Gurung – a popular fashion designer. She says ‘a girl can never have too many pearls’ and accentuates her love for pearls by accessorizing her outfit with a simple pair of – you guessed it right – pearl earrings, with 2 huge ones hanging against each other and a spikey design surrounding it. Alia took the extra mile and jampacked her hand with four bulky pearl rings, thereby sealing the look.
