Released on August 15th, 2003, Salman Khan’s character as Radhe still brings tears to our eyes.

Radhe is a fun-loving boy but with the downside of a bad temper. He’s constantly getting into fights, some even fatal. He lives with his sister-in-law who loves him dearly and is concerned about the way he chooses to unfold his life. While he’s busy unleashing the wrath in him, a girl, Nirjara, who’s poles apart from Radhe’s personality, crosses paths with him and his life changes forever. He falls madly in love, ready to do anything to get her. But, she rejects him. After that, he gets into a life-threatening fight and his head is banged into the train’s front and before he knows, he goes into a coma and loses his memory. Looking at his plight, the family decides to send him to a place which is said to cure his illness. Before that, he’s shackled and treated inhumanely. That’s when Nirjara re-enters his life but when she sees what happened to Radhe, she’s unable to handle the trauma. However, towards the end, Radhe is an old man with a white beard who began writing in the name of love. Even after what he went through, he doesn’t get to write the destiny of his life with the only girl he loved, so ends up dedicating the remainder of his life to writing about her and for her instead.

Iconic songs like ‘Tere Naam’, ‘Tumse Milna’, Odhani Odh Ke and Lagan Lagi are so meticulously composed, one can’t help but sing it all day. Today’s the right time to rewatch the movie, available in HD on YouTube.
