Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor married late actress Sridevi in June 1996 but made it public only after her pregnancy was visible. Talking about their relationship, Boney Kapoor opened up about the late actress Sridevi as a person and his partner.
Boney Kapoor said that he married the actress in Shirdi in 1996 secretly and only announced their marriage publicly after Sridevi’s pregnancy is visible. Kapoor refuted rumors of Janhvi Kapoor being born before his marriage to Sridevi and had to announce his second marriage to the actress months later after they married in January.
The filmmaker talked about religious beliefs stating he doesn’t shy away from his religious identity nor anyone from his family do. He explained “Whether it was Sri, Whether it was Sunita(Anil Kapoor’s wife), Whether it was me or Anil or my daughter Janhvi, we’re all religious.
Talking about Sridevi’s beliefs, he explained about the actress’s visit to Tirumala Tirupati every three months. “My wife Sridevi used to walk to Tirupati on her every birthday. When I was in trouble, she walked from Juhu to Siddhi Vinayak barefoot.
Boney also said Sridevi’s Chennai house remains close to his heart. He had renovated it after her passing as he felt the dampness seeping into the closed rooms. He made separate rooms for everyone including his brothers and parents adding he can still feel the presence of Sridevi whenever he visits the house.
