I Was Interrogated For More Than A Day….
Boney Kapoor for the first time has opened up about his wife and late actress Sridevi. The late actress passed away in February 2018 and was in Dubai at that time leading to an accidental drowning in a bathtub at the hotel room she stayed at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
Sridevi’s death has stirred many speculations causing a sensation at her sudden demise. Her husband and producer Boney Kapoor opened up about not talking about her demise all these years. He said he didn’t speak because he was interrogated with lie detectors and many more tests for forty-eight hours almost.
Boney Kapoor revealed that Sridevi used to follow strict diets that even excluded salt which eventually resulted in experiencing blackouts sometimes since they were married. The doctor also warned them about the late actress having low BP. As Sridevi never took it seriously, Kapoor also thought it was just to look beautiful on-screen until the incident occurred.
Boney also said that actor Nagarjuna who came to offer condolences shared that the actress once fainted and broke her front teeth in the bathroom while doing this crash diet during filming. Stating it as an accidental death, he disclosed it as an unnatural death and was interrogated for 24 or 48 hours in Dubai.
Officers in Dubai said that Kapoor had to go through all the phases of interrogation as there was a lot of pressure from the Indian Media. Later they discovered there was no foul play as he went through lie detecting and those things with report stating the cause of death to be accidental.
