Aashiqui 2 is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language romantic musical drama film directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Mukesh Bhatt, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar under the Vishesh Films and T-Series Films, with Mahesh Bhatt serving as a presenter. The film stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. The film was a huge hit, and the songs still hold the same vibe and craze till now.
As Kartik Aaryan and Tripti Dimri collaborated for the third instalment of the Aashiqui, Emraan Hashmi confirmed that he was the first choice for Aashiqui 2. Mohit Suri approached him first for Aashiqui 2 as he and Suri had collaborated on six films previously.
“Mohit approached me first for Aashiqui 2 and I was like this would work more with actors who are fairly new, who don’t have a roster of past movies or an image with the audience and there would be a sense of discovering a fresh pair. I don’t ever have regrets with films I didn’t do. They were never meant for me to begin with,” Emraan Hashmi quoted.
Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi was recently seen in Maneesh Sharma’s Tiger 3 with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif and received a lot of accolades for his performance.
