Animal was released on 1st December 2023 and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandana, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles; it was said that the movie was purely based on a father and son relationship before its release. But after the release, all the audience could see was the level of brutality in a commercial film.

Gopichand Malineni says he could not sleep for the rest of the night and wondered how Sandeep could narrate a film in such a brutal way. Anil Ravipudi says that Animal has left him in a lot of confusion when it comes to making commercial films.
Lastly, Venu Yeldandi of Balagam fame reveals that he learned many nuances about direction from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. He watched the film multiple times to absorb it completely.
