Ayushmann Khurana is an Indian Bollywood superstar who is not just known for his marginalized characters, but also his amazing vocals. All the way from Paani da Rang to Chan Kitthan and Mere Liye Tum Kaafi Ho, his songs have made our day better. And our weekends are better too, with his blockbuster Bollywood movies like Bareilly ki Barfi, Dream Girl, Shubh Mangal Savdhaan and Bala.
Ayushmann has constantly been a gleaming lotus in India Cinema. Glowing amidst the mud, he has chosen hush-hush topics nobody has the courage to cover. Deservingly, he got the love and recognition for it. Right from square one with Vicky Donor, he raised awareness about sperm donation. Back in the day, when people even hesitated to utter the word ‘s*x’, he worked in a movie as taboo as this.
He, once again, chose a prejudiced notion in his latest Netflix series Doctor G, where he’s sidelined for being the only male student in Gynecology. With Shefali Shah and Rakul Preet Singh, he has done a phenomenal job with the script.
Delightfully so, he will be seen performing in this year’s IIFA Awards. As an introduction, IIFA is an annual awards ceremony for 23 years for Bollywood where fans’ votes take the artist up to the stage.
Merely a day ago, IIFA on their official Instagram handle, posted about his appearance stating, “The Action Hero of Bollywood is ready to perform at NEXA IIFA Awards 2023, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi on 27th May.”
With Ayushmann’s success rate in the slaying business, I’m sure we’re all thrilled to watch him perform – oh, I mean, slay – once more.
