A tweet by one of the advocates has been doing rounds on the internet.
“The Ld. Magistrate of Andheri Court has sought to summon Mr. Javed Akhtar in my client Ms. Kangana Ranaut’s criminal complaint filed against him, for having criminally intimidated her and also for having insulted her modesty in his own house, where he had unilaterally called her for a mediation meeting, to settle a dispute between my client Ms. Kangana Ranaut and Mr. Hrithik Roshan. Before passing of the Order in my client’s matter, the Ld. Magistrate had the occasion to observe the witness whom we had examined in our criminal complaint; as well as the witnesses who were called by Mr. Javed Akhtar in his criminal complaint. One important witness named Dr. Ramesh Agarwal, who was called by Mr. Javed Akhtar as his witness, confirmed on oath that only my client was called for the mediation and that Mr. Hrithik Roshan was not present. He also confirmed that the meeting was selectively attended by Mr. Ramesh Agarwal himself, Ms. Kangana Ranaut, Mr. Javed Akhtar and Ms. Rangoli Chandel. He further confirmed on oath that my client was asked to say sorry to Mr. Hrithik Roshan and that the mediation failed. With regards to the other claims made in defence of Mr. Javed Akhtar by his counsel, the said Witness claimed on oath that he was busy over the phone and that he was at a distance, therefore he did not hear anything else. The claims made by Dr. Ramesh Agarwal were on oath and before the media present in the Courtroom. The Ld. Magistrate also had the occasion to consider my arguments, wherein I heavily relied on Mr. Javed Akhtar’s own statement recorded under oath. In the said statement he confirms that he knew Mr. Hrithik Roshan and his family very well. Also the fact remains that Mr. Hrithik Roshan never came for the mediation meeting at all and this so called mediation meeting was only one-sided. The matter shall now proceed further on merits, with Mr. Javed Akhtar being summoned as an accused under Sections 506 of IPC which deals with criminal intimidation and Section 509 of IPC which deals with insult to modesty of a woman” tweeted Advocate Rizwan Siddiquee.
Though this tweet has been grabbing a lot of attention, and Kangana has been gaining immense support from fans and netizens, the actress didn’t retweet it or react regarding the matter, which makes it hard to find out if the source is reliable.
