Siddique, a prominent filmmaker from the Malayalam industry, was urgently hospitalized on August 7, 2023, at approximately 3 pm due to a severe heart attack. Tragically, he passed away on August 8.

Famed Malayalam director Siddique breathed his last on August 8. Following a heart attack on Monday, he was swiftly taken to Kochi’s Amrita Hospital for treatment. Notably, Siddique had been under medical supervision for pneumonia and liver ailment before the heart attack.

After his ailment, Siddique received assistance from an Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) machine. A medical board was scheduled to evaluate Siddique’s health status on August 8, deciding the subsequent steps.

Dulquer Salmaan, a well-known Malayalam actor, paid tribute to the departed director through an Instagram post.

Siddique, renowned for helming the 1989 Malayalam movie ‘Ramji Rao Speaking’, commenced his directorial journey with this film. Establishing a prosperous trajectory in the cinematic world, Siddique left an indelible imprint as a director and screenwriter, notably with ‘Pappan Priyappetta Pappan’ in 1986. His final endeavour was the film ‘Big Brother.’
