SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ not only scored box office records but also bagged received numerous accolades since its release, making headlines. The film’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ track won Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards, making India and the entire ‘RRR’ team proud.
The entire team attended the event and made headlines. However, the latest news regarding how much the RRR team paid for Oscar tickets is surprising everyone. The entire cast of the film, from the director to the lead actors, attended the Oscars 2023 red carpet. According to reports, the crew of the Academy did not give SS Rajamouli and the team free tickets to the event so they could watch it live.
Only the composer and lyricist of the song, MM Keeravani and Chandrabose, along with their wives, were granted free admission, while the remaining crew including the director and heroes had to pay a fee to witness the moment live.
As per the reports, Oscar tickets costed 25K for RRR Team. Rajamouli reportedly purchased tickets for himself & other team members worth $25,000 USD[20.6 Lakh] per person.
The ‘RRR’ director and crew, on the other hand, the team were given the last row of the hall, despite the fact that the Academy association was heavily criticized for seating them near the exit gate.
