Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol, Utkarsh Sharma, and Ameesha Patel released on August 11, 2023, on big screens. Gadar 2 is the sequel series to Gadar which was released twenty-two years back.
Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is a romantic drama set during the partition of India. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film was a blockbuster back in 2001. Now sequel also collected around 20 crores in advance bookings making it the most anticipated movie of Bollywood this year after Pathaan.
The film collected 40 crores at the box office on the opening day. The film is also continuing its dream run. As per early estimates, the action-packed film earned 43 crores on its second day at the box office. Making the domestic collection 83.10 crores on its second day, Gadar 2 became the second-best opener of 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.
Gadar 2 helmed by Anil Sharma became a blockbuster theatrically with a star cast, powerful dialogues, and action sequences. Tara Singh and Sakeena’s legacy is shown in this sequel.
Sunny Deol addressing the media talking about the success said he is amazed by the love that he has been receiving for Gadar 2, adding that the characters managed to get love from two generations.
