As ‘The Animal’ mania is currently trending which was released on 1st of december. According to the critics review, the estimated time of this film trending is for about two weeks. Amidst these times, A heartful and soulful Father daughter sentimental film is all set hit the screens on 7th of December. That film is ”Hi Nanna” which featured the latest sensational film Dasara’s hero ”Natural Star Nani”. This beautiful film was directed by Shouryuv, Although it’s his directorial debut, the expectations on this film are pretty high. Nani’s lovely transformation, Samayamaa, Gaaju bomma, Odiyamma songs have also played a crucial role in setting the expectations of the film very high. With this analysis, everyone were sure that this film is going to be a blockbuster even though there is another big film ‘Animal’ running successfully in the theatres.
Story:
A well known Photographer [Viraj] who owns a Photo Studio resides in Mumbai with his only daughter [Mahi]. Mahi has been suffering from a lung disease and doctors declared that she doesn’t have much time to live on this earth. From then, Viraj treats his daughter Mahi like a princess with all the love and affection. But Mahi is so stubborn to know her mom’s story. Due to the silence of her father, Mahi leaves the house and there she meets the soul of the film, Mrunal Thakur [Yashna]. Yashna makes Nani to say Mahi’s mom story to Mahi.
Now, Who is the mother[Varsha] of Mahi? Why did Viraj and Varsha got separated? Why did Yashna fell in love with Viraj? Where does Destiny take Viraj and Yashna? Whom did Yashna got married to? Who is this Yashna? Did mahi survive ?
Finding answers for the questions above is all the movie about.
Analysis:
There is no special introduction needed for the telugu TV Serial ”Kartika Deepam” and the story of Vantalakka and Doctor babu. If you know the story, You almost know the story of Hi Nanna too. In the serial, The main lead has two kids, but in this film, Nani has only one daughter. Moreover, This film seems like it was made by making a few changes in the Kathika Deepam Story.
Just like one person need a lot of patience to watch Daily serials on television, This film also requires alot of patience to watch. Director Shouryuv managed to engage the first part with the viewers. First half of the film has Nani and Mahi and their bonding, This makes everyone fall in love with them. And the flash back starts with amazing visuals that gives a soulful vibe. And the music by Hesham Abdul during the entire film is truly mesmerising. The song Samayama which is in the first half stole the show.
The interval is planned to be given with a twist and then director wanted to make the story even more interesting in the second half but gradually, the interest goes due to the lagged scenes. Every scene is prolonged way too longer than needed. The screen play would have been much better and the narration should have been a bit fast.
Coming to the climax, It’s the common one for all the films in such genre. The climax is highly predictable and The climax would have been more better with a new trend. Makers have announced Shruti Hassan as one of the cast in this film but This actress is not on screen for the whole special song too which left shruti fans offended. Her role has nothing to do with either the film or the song.
Coming to the Acting, Nani has been very natural throughout the film like always. But the limelight is all on Kiara Khanna who played Mahi. Her acting, expressions, were exceptional. Kiara nailed it even in the emotional scenes too. Mrunal played her role well but the director failed to show her attractively after Hanu showed her beauty in Sita Ramam, her looks in this film didn’t match the vibe and expectations that viewers had on Mrunal.
Coming to the technical aspects. , The Cinematography is very good and Hesham Adbul music was awesome. This film music will be definitely a great hit like Kushi. The editing, Screen play should have been more better.
