Story:

Destined With You is a story connected by a book—not just a normal book but a mysterious one. Jo Bo Ah plays the role of the protagonist, Lee Hong Jo, while Rowoon plays the leading man’s character, Jang Shin Yu, a cold and successful lawyer. While Jang Shin Yu is cursed to die at a very young age, Lee Hong Jo is the only person who can save him. Will she save him? Are they connected by a tragic past? All these secrets unfold in each episode.

The drama gets interesting as the storyline develops in Episodes 3 and 4. As the leading lady tries her best to save Jang Shin Yu, the leading man still doubts if he will survive or not. Episodes 3 and 4 are filled with humor and funny cheezy lines that make the viewers crack up. To balance that, the upcoming episodes bring forth overwhelming drama.

Analysis:

Episode 5  The episode starts with Jang decoding the abbreviation which says, “Our destinies cannot be severed accept it “. Though their chaotic bond is hilarious looks like the characters have no choice but to accept their fate as Jang’s grandmother who happens to be a Shaman suggests, but looks like Hong Joo doesn’t believe in destiny but wants to write it down herself. The team did a great job by focusing on every single element of the drama. From using perfect lighting to enhance the actor’s appearances to the character development. The romantic lighting which balances shadows and the bright focus makes the setting feel fictional yet realistic. In simple, scenes where Jang looks at his new love interest looks a proper iconic scene in Kdramas. The triangular love story unfolds comparatively than the previous episodes. Rowoon and Jo-Bo-Ah live up to their characters. There are a lot of scenes that make the drama worth watching. The character development is intact. Rowoon did a great job as Jang turns from a cold jerk to retaining a despicable attitude which keeps changing for the better.

Episode 6 Hong Joo reveals she has a spell that can correct the mistakes. The mayor, Kwon Jae Hyung, Na-Yeon, Jang’s close friend, and his mother play a key role in this episode. While Jang’s dad doesn’t pay much attention to Jang’s mom, her reason for divorce can crack up the audience and get Jang’s friend teary. A little chemistry is evident between Jang’s mom and his friend, this could be probably because of the fan love of his friend towards Jang’s mom. Jang Shin Yu gets drunk and almost creates havoc. The female lead tries her best to sort things out but they keep going out of hand. The florist owner happens to have sent the flower bouquet as he accidentally drinks the love potion made by Hong Joo. The fact that he keeps approaching her begins to scare her when Jang comes to her rescue.

Jang’s confession about not turning back the spell happens to come true but at what cost will crack up the audience. Episode 6 will leave the audience rooting for the leads and despising one of the character’s fake exteriors she puts out in front of people.
