The daytime talk show host took to social media to share that ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ would kick off their upcoming season 4, despite the ongoing SAG-AFTRA/WGA Strikes. The news comes after Barrymore stepped down as host of the MTV Movie & TV Awards in May due to the strikes.
Amid Hollywood strikes, Drew brings the new season of the talk show. The talented actress and TV host said the show’s return would align with the rules of the Sag-Aftra and Writers Guild of America (WGA) strikes. She said the series “may have my name on it, but this is bigger than just me”.
“The Drew Barrymore Show is a WGA-covered struck television show. It has stayed off the air since the strike began on May 2nd but has now (unfortunately) decided to return without its writers.”
