Citadel Is An Intense Spy Action Thriller Series

Amazon Prime released the two episodes of its biggest Spy franchise Citadel on April 28. Generally, when it comes to a web series the first few episodes are always dull and lag due to the introductions of characters and narration of the plot. But with Citadel the story is different.

Of Course, the character’s introduction was done in the first episode but it was interesting as they were introduced while disguised in a secret mission. The first half of the first episode completely focused on introducing Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra) and Mason Kane (Richard Madden) to the audience. They even have pep talk which is kind of funny and entertaining as they do that in a risky mission. The second half was filled with action and by the end they met with an accident and the spy duo were separated. While Mason deals with trauma and loses his memory he restarts his life as a common man and builds a family of his own.

The second episode starts with what happened to Nadia after the accident and we find out how she lost her memory. While Mason Kane restarts his efforts to learn about his past he was kidnapped by some spy and follows his lead to keep his family safe. During this event, he realises that he was not kidnapped but rescued by his friend from Citadel and they try to secure a brief with Nuclear codes. By the end of the second half, Mason meets Nadia and brings her memory back. But he failed to regain his own.

The second episode ends with a twist and raises the enthusiasm to wait for the third episode. Overall the series contains a good amount of humour, great action with intense drama and thrilling spy sequences. Citadel is a watch series for action and thriller lovers.
