What advice did the Veteran actor Dharmendra give to Rajveer Deol before his debut?

Rajveer Deol’s grandparents

Ahead of Rajveer Deol’s debut into Bollywood beside Paloma in their movie Dono, his grandparents, Dharmendra and Parkash Kaur helped him with some ‘old is gold’ advice, as he readies himself to set his foot into the ground of cinema. Dharmendra, a veteran actor, stores immense experience in his basket that he passed on to his son Sunny Deol and now his grandson, Rajveer Deol.

Throwing light on the same, Rajveer revealed that they told him he has a ‘good personality’ and he should show that. “Woh obviously bahut khush the. (They were really happy obviously). They told me, ‘Rajveer, just be yourself. You are blessed with a good personality (laugh). They said just be yourself, don’t try putting on a front, don’t look at your dad’s image, don’t try to be him or your grandfather or your chacha’s. Because you were raised well, just be yourself and that’s it,” he shared.

For the unversed, Parkash Kaur is Dharmendra‘s first wife whom he married at the age of 19 in 1954. It’s obvious that it was out of his parents’ wish and there was no love involved. But, with Hema Malini, he fell madly in love and made her his own in 1980 with an official wedding. Despite everything, he didn’t leave Parkash Kaur’s side. Parkash Kaur revealed in an interview that she didn’t divorce him because although he’s not a ‘great husband’, he’s an amazing father. She also mentioned that she understands Hema’s feelings a woman but as a mother and a wife, she doesn’t approve of them and wouldn’t have married Dharmendra if she was in Hema’s place.
