Vijay Deverakonda on his feminism; deets inside

Vijay Deverakonda on Feminism

Since his portrayal of Arjun Reddy in the highly acclaimed film of the same name, Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda has frequently been questioned about his views on feminism and its representation in cinema. During the promotion of his upcoming release “Kushi” on Wednesday, the actor was once more queried about whether he considers himself a feminist.

Addressing the audience at the trailer launch event of “Kushi” in Hyderabad, the actor conveyed in Hindi, “Pata nahi kyu kar diya, thoda kharab kar diya na misogynist bolke. Jisko hum kaun maluum hai, usko ye doubt nahi rehta” (I don’t know why they did it, they somewhat tarnished it by labelling me a misogynist. Those who truly know me, they don’t have any doubts about it).

During the media interaction, Vijay also shared insights about his marriage plans, revealing that he’s currently in the process of searching for a partner and enjoys discussing marriage with his close ones. He has previously been romantically linked with both Samantha and Rashmika Mandanna.

Regarding his professional endeavours, Vijay is eagerly anticipating the release of “Kushi,” an upcoming Telugu film directed by Shiva Nirvana. In this movie, he will be paired opposite Samantha for the first time. Notable actors like Jayaram and Sachin Khedekar are also part of the cast in significant roles.
