Kushi Trailer launch talks
Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha revealed their project ‘Kushi’ in the early part of last year. A lavish ceremony marked the commencement of the film, followed by shooting that began in April. The team even celebrated Samantha’s birthday on the set, which was located in Kashmir. Subsequently, after a brief pause, the second schedule of shooting commenced. However, filming came to a halt for an extended period due to Samantha’s diagnosis of Myositis.
The shooting of the film remained suspended for over eight months due to Samantha’s inability to participate. Throughout this period, Vijay Deverakonda, despite having other commitments, demonstrated remarkable patience and understanding. He chose not to express any frustration regarding the situation and waited patiently until Samantha’s recovery, at which point filming resumed. When questioned about this, Vijay stated, “I couldn’t envision anyone else playing this character but Samantha. I was prepared to wait as long as necessary for her to heal. I would have patiently waited even if it had taken her a decade to return to the film’s sets.”
In addition, director Shiva Nirvana expressed that he crafted the character with Samantha in his thoughts, being an avid admirer of hers. He highlighted their previous collaboration in the blockbuster hit “Majili,” where Samantha and Shiva Nirvana had previously collaborated. This further underscores the special bond and creative synergy they share.
Currently, Vijay Deverakonda is deeply engrossed in the filming of his upcoming project helmed by Parasuram. Their previous collaboration on the successful movie “Geetha Govindam” added another feather to Vijay’s cap. In this new venture, he’s accompanied by Mrunal Thakur, who takes on the female lead. Moreover, Vijay has yet another promising project in the works, with director Gowtam Tinnanuri at the helm.
Switching gears to the eagerly anticipated film “Kushi,” directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Y of Mythri Movie Makers, it boasts stellar performances from notable actors like Murali Sharma, Sachin Khedekar, Vennela Kishore, and Rahul Ramakrishna. The combination of talent and creative forces promises an exciting cinematic experience.
