Vijay crushing on Samantha
The eagerly anticipated romantic film ‘Kushi’ unveiled its trailer on Wednesday, August 9. The launch event saw the presence of the entire star cast and crew, although the film’s lead actress, Samantha Ruth, was unable to attend. When inquired about his co-star, Vijay praised Samantha’s commitment and diligent efforts to ensure the timely completion of the film’s shooting.
Before the trailer launch, Samantha shared a fresh poster from the movie to build anticipation for the event. Currently on an acting hiatus due to her diagnosis of myositis, Samantha announced her intention to take a break to focus on her recovery. During the event, Vijay Deverakonda commended Samantha’s commitment and expressed his longstanding admiration for the actress.
Vijay Deverakonda expressed, “She is someone I admired when I watched Em Maya Chesave and watched all her other films. It was like when you have a crush on an actress and when you love an actress on screen. When you work with her personally and she is working really hard and she is doing her best. I miss her here as my partner in this film.”
He continued, “I am sitting on the sofa and promoting this film alone. I miss her but she needs her time. We are all happy and we will do her job on her behalf. She is an amazing person and she did an incredible job in the film.”
Regarding the ‘Kushi’ trailer launch event, it took place in Hyderabad. Vijay and Samantha reunited for ‘Kushi’ after their 2018 film ‘Mahanati’. ‘Kushi’ revolves around an inter-faith love story and the 2-minute, 41-second trailer offers a glimpse into Vikram (Vijay) and Aradhya’s (Samantha) romantic journey.
‘Kushi,’ directed by Shiva Nirvana, boasts a cast that includes Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Lakshmi, Rohini, Ali, and Rahul Ramakrishna in important roles. The film is being produced by Mythri Makers and is set to hit theatres on September 1st.
