Did you know that before the release of the epic film “Bajirao Mastani,” there was an interesting twist in its casting? The director’s original plan was to cast Salman Khan alongside Aishwarya Rai and Rani Mukerji. However, fate had other plans. A decade prior to the film’s actual production, Salman Khan had drastically changed his hairstyle and even shot a poster of the film with Kareena Kapoor.
But why did the director eventually choose Kareena Kapoor over Aishwarya Rai? Well, it was all due to Salman Khan’s unexpected breakup with Aishwarya Rai. This turn of events made the director reconsider his options, and he saw a perfect fit in Kareena Kapoor for the role.
It’s fascinating to think about the alternate path the film could have taken, but ultimately, “Bajirao Mastani” turned out to be a grand cinematic spectacle with a remarkable cast, leaving audiences enthralled with its powerful performances and captivating storyline. Finally, the movie was made with Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles which were released in 2015 and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
