‘Tum kya Mile’, the latest song from the much anticipated film “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani”, stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh as love birds singing and showing off their chemistry through the beautiful Kashmir in what appears to be Alia’s imagination on a work trip. This film marks Karan Johar’s return as a director after 7 years , causing all Bollywood rom-com lovers to turn heads. The teaser released recently received much love for bringing back the OG Bollywood romantic family drama vibe.
The song, however, is being adored for the voices of Arjit Singh and Shreyas Ghosal, but on the flipside, some fans are saying Alia and Ranveer’s chemistry just doesn’t hit the mark and seems forced. Kjo has said he paid homage to his guru, Yash Chopra, and the iconic Srk-Kajol duo, (who have set the standard for Hindi love and romance on screen) through this song, but netizens cant help but reject this new version of Srk-Kajol in Ranveer and Alia.
One fan took to social media to post an edit of Geura’s visuals with Tum Kya Mile, and we have to say they match beautifully, causing a flood of comments from fans saying: “now this, this is what my heart wanted to see.” Another wrote, “U r a genius. Thanku for this edit, only SRK and Kajol can justify this song.” Others were seen dropping teary-eyed and red-heart emojis in the comments section, expressing how much they miss and truly cherish the iconic on screen couple. Despite the lack luster chemistry, the exquisite visuals of Kashmir, Alia in oh-so-many chiffon sarees and the blend of Arjit and Shreya’s voices have lead to this song being played on repeat!
