Vijay will provide audiences with an enjoyable yet emotionally charged experience in Thalapathy 69. It could be his final performance as an actor before transitioning to politics. And we hear the South Korean superstar is seeking a hefty fee for it, comparable to the highest-paid Indian actor of all time.
We earlier claimed that Rajinikanth may have become Asia’s highest-paid actor. He has two films in the works, but fans are already excited about his cooperation with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. The superstar, known as Thalaivar 171, is reportedly earning between 260 and 280 crores.
According to recent rumors, Thalapathy Vijay’s income has also increased significantly. He reportedly requested 250 crores for Thalapathy 69. If that is true, he will be the second highest-paid Indian actor, earning only roughly 4-10% less than superstar Rajinikanth.
Recently, Prabhas’ salary for Kalki 2898 AD was released. The Darling actor is demanding a hefty 150 crore. That is another boost in his compensation, but Thalapathy Vijay has surpassed this milestone with an amazing 33% raise.
On the other hand, Allu Arjun earned 125 crores for Pushpa 2. When compared, there is a staggering gain of around 100%! Vijay is indeed preparing to set new standards before retiring from acting.
Forthcoming films
Karthik Subbaraj will direct Vijay’s farewell flick. The director had previously presented the Leo actor with two ideas, but he was not convinced. A photo from their meeting went popular on the internet a few months ago. So, it appears like the duo has found the ideal script to work on. Vels Film International is producing the forthcoming production, which is planned to be released in 2025.
Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay is now filming The Greatest of All Time. According to reports, he will play two characters. Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Sneha, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Ajmal Ameer round out the cast. The film, directed by Venkat Prabhu, is set to be released on July 31, 2024.
